The new issue of Conjunctions is out, and includes my translations of two prose poems by French novelist Claude Simon.
Archipelago and North were originally published in Finland, in 1974, but didn’t appear in France until 2009, four years after Simon’s death. They are available here in English for the first time.
To purchase a copy or subscribe to Conjunctions, please visit the journal’s website.
Previews begin tonight at Signature Theatre for the world premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ Everybody, directed by Lila Neugebauer. All tickets $30 for performances through March 12, 2017. More details here.
A couple stills from the new episode of The Blacklist, out this week. I play the eponymous “Gaia.” Watch the primetime broadcast this Thursday, October 13th, at 10/9c, or stream the show later on NBC.
Due to a strange turn of events, I’ve taken over the role of Achilles in Daniel Sullivan’s production of Troilus and Cressida for the Public Theater’s Shakespeare in the Park. The first-rate cast includes John Glover as Pandarus, John Douglas Thompson as Agamemnon, Corey Stoll as Ulysses, Max Casella as Thersites, Bill Heck as Hector, and Andrew Burnap and Ismenia Mendes in the title roles (respectively). Tickets are free, as always, in return for patience. All shows begin at 8PM, now through August 14. For more details, please visit the Public Theater’s website.
Look out for Victor Mateo in episode 2. More info here.
